Beavers

Beavers, Aged 6- 8 years

Beaver Scouts is the first and youngest section of our Group for girls and boys aged 6-8 years. Beavers meet between 4- 4.40pm every term-time Monday afternoon.

Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way. Our Beaver Scouts master new skills and try new things, have fun and go on adventures, make friends, are curious about the world around them, and help others and make a difference, on their own doorstops and beyond. Each Colony is led by an adult Beaver leader. Other adult volunteers are on hand to supervise activities, share their skills and keep everyone safe. Here are a few activities our beavers have been up to lately:

Raft making

Our beavers recently made rafts out of sticks and leaves as part of their Outdoors Challenge Badge. They developed their building skills and had fun outdoors.

Nature hunt

Some of our beavers went on a nature hunt with their parents as part of their Adventure Challenge Badge. They spotted squirrels and leaves and learnt about fungi.
